Terms of Service
Last updated November 7, 2026 · Operated by MeMaMu LLC
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and MeMaMu LLC, a limited liability company ("MeMaMu LLC", "we", "us"), governing your use of the ALTRmode software, websites, applications, APIs and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, connecting a channel, or otherwise using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
ALTRmode connects to messaging and email accounts that you own (for example Slack and Gmail), and — only for conversations you explicitly switch on — analyses your past messages to learn your writing style, generates suggested replies using artificial intelligence, and, at your direction, sends messages from your accounts. It can also forward tasks to third-party AI agents you connect (for example GitHub Copilot, Manus or Grok), run them with AI agents we provide (for example Claude Code, which works in the GitHub repositories you select), and relay their results. The Service is a tool that acts on your instructions; it is not a party to your conversations and has no knowledge of your intentions beyond what you configure.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and enable and maintain the two-factor authentication the Service requires. You are responsible for all activity under your account, whether or not authorised by you, until you notify us at support@altrmode.com and we have had a reasonable time to act. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organisation. You may not use the Service if you are located in a country subject to a comprehensive US embargo, or are on a US, EU or UK sanctions list, and you will not use it in breach of export-control or sanctions laws.
3. Connected services and third-party platforms
You may only connect accounts that belong to you or that you are expressly authorised to operate. The accounts, workspaces and tools you connect to the Service (such as messaging and email channels, work tools, calendars and AI providers) are together your "Connected Services". You are solely responsible for complying with the terms of service, acceptable-use policies and applicable law of every platform you connect (including Slack, Google, GitHub, Anthropic and any messaging provider). Some platforms restrict or prohibit automated or AI-generated messaging, or require you to disclose it to recipients; determining and satisfying those requirements is your responsibility. Third-party platforms may suspend, rate-limit or terminate your accounts because of activity carried out through the Service. We are not responsible for any such action or for changes to third-party APIs that degrade or remove functionality.
Features marked "lab", "experimental" or "beta" are provided for evaluation only, may stop working at any time, and may carry a heightened risk of account suspension. You use them entirely at your own risk.
ALTRmode is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or supported by any platform it connects to. Google, Gmail and Google Chat are trademarks of Google LLC; Slack, Microsoft, Outlook, Teams, Discord, Asana, Trello, monday.com and GitHub are trademarks of their owners. We use these names only to tell you which of your accounts a feature works with.
3B. Channels and integrations may change or be removed
The channels, integrations, AI models and agents the Service connects to are not fixed. Any of them may be added, changed, limited, suspended or permanently removed at any time, for all users or for particular accounts, at our sole discretion, including because a third party changes or withdraws its API, objects to our access or changes its terms, or because we decide to stop offering it. We will try to tell you in the app or by email when practicable, but we are not required to give notice.
Your subscription or plan is for the Service as a whole and does not include a right to any particular channel, integration or feature. The removal, suspension, limitation or failure of any channel or integration is not a breach of these Terms or of your plan, does not entitle you to a refund, credit, discount, damages, early termination of a committed term, a waiver of fees or any other remedy, and is not grounds for a complaint, chargeback or claim against MeMaMu LLC. You may cancel your subscription for the future at any time as Section 9 describes; fees already paid stay non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
4. AI-generated content
All suggested replies, summaries, classifications, task descriptions and other text produced by the Service are generated automatically by machine-learning models. Such output can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, misleading, offensive, inappropriate for the recipient, or legally or commercially harmful. It may misstate facts, fabricate details, make commitments you did not intend, misread tone, or reply to the wrong person. The models do not understand your relationships, obligations or context beyond the text they are shown.
The Service does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, professional or safety advice, and AI output must not be relied on as such. Nothing in the Service constitutes a guarantee of accuracy, fitness, or that any message will be understood by its recipient as you intend.
4A. Telling people a reply was automatic
On by default. A reply the Service sends on its own in a conversation you set to automatic ends with a short line saying it was sent automatically with ALTRmode, in the language of the reply, with a link to a public page that explains what ALTRmode is (the "Disclosure"). The Disclosure is on unless you turn it off. Replies you write yourself, or approve before they are sent, do not carry it.
If you turn it off, disclosure is your responsibility. You may turn the Disclosure off for your account or for a particular conversation, except where we keep it on. If you do, you alone are responsible for deciding whether, how and to whom you must disclose that a message was generated or sent by AI, and for doing so, under every law, regulation, professional rule and platform policy that applies to you or to the people you write to. These may include the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) and its rules on AI systems that interact with people, California's Bolstering Online Transparency (B.O.T.) Act, Utah's Artificial Intelligence Policy Act, other state, national or local bot- and AI-disclosure laws, consumer-protection and unfair-practices laws, and the rules of any professional body you belong to. Turning the Disclosure off is your acceptance of this section; we keep a record of it (the time, the version of this section, your IP address and browser).
Where we keep it on. To meet our own obligations as the provider of the Service, we keep the Disclosure on, and you cannot turn it off, for accounts we determine are in the European Union or European Economic Area (currently from the time zone your devices report), and we may keep it on in other places or situations where we believe the law requires it. You must not try to get around this, for example by misreporting your location, deleting or altering the Disclosure, or instructing the Service to leave it out.
Regulated professions. If you communicate in a capacity regulated by a licensing or professional authority (for example as a lawyer, doctor or other health-care or mental-health professional, financial or investment adviser, insurance agent, accountant or real-estate agent), you must not use automatic replies with the Disclosure turned off in those communications, and you are responsible for any further disclosure, supervision, record-keeping or human review those rules require. We recommend keeping such conversations on review first.
Disclosure doesn't make automation allowed. The Disclosure concerns the people you write to; it does not make automated or AI-generated messaging permitted on a platform whose terms restrict it. Sending through official APIs that allow it (for example Gmail or Slack) is different from automating a personal messaging account, which a platform may forbid whatever you tell recipients. Section 3 applies in full, including the risk of suspension or ban of your accounts.
5. Your responsibility for messages and actions
You are 100% responsible for every message, email, reply, reaction, file, task, code change, pull request or other action that is sent, posted, created or performed from or through your Connected Services using the Service — regardless of whether you reviewed it, whether it was generated by AI, and whether the conversation was in "review" or "automatic" mode. Enabling automatic sending for a conversation is an explicit instruction from you to send AI-generated messages in your name without further review; you accept all consequences of doing so.
You are responsible for the content, legality, accuracy, timing and recipients of everything sent; for any obligations, contracts, admissions or representations created by those messages; for the conduct of any AI agent you connect or let work in your tools and any changes it makes to your systems, repositories or data (Claude Code pushes only to branches named claude/…; protecting your other branches, for example with GitHub branch protection, is your responsibility); and for any harm to you, your recipients or third parties arising from them. You agree to review AI output before relying on it and to keep review mode on for any conversation where an error could cause harm.
The Moderator. If you turn on the Moderator in a community channel you run, every message it removes and every member it times out, removes or bans is your action, as above, whether you allowed it on its card or the channel was on Automatic. You decide the channel's rules, and you are responsible for having the right to moderate there, for following the platform's own rules for moderators and bots (for example Discord's and Slack's), for telling the channel's members that AI helps moderate it, and for reviewing and undoing a step that was wrong. AI judges messages imperfectly; keep it asking first where a mistake could cause harm.
Talking to CTRL. When you ask CTRL by voice (its microphone, the phone app's talk panel or Siri), what it understood is carried out without a confirmation step: in the app it says what it's about to do and gives you a few seconds to say stop; through Siri it's done right away. Speech recognition can mishear a name or a word. What's sent or changed this way is yours as above; type and confirm instead where a mistake could cause harm.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- impersonate any person other than yourself, or connect, train on or send from accounts you do not own or lack authority to operate;
- deceive, defraud, harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate against or harm any person;
- send bulk, broadcast, mass or unsolicited messages, spam, marketing, advertising, promotions, cold outreach, lead generation or chain messages, or send to people who have not been talking with you, through any channel, including by setting up routines, CTRL requests, GENTs or automatic replies to do so, or by scripting the Service or its API;
- break anti-spam, telemarketing, consumer-protection or electronic-communications laws, including the US CAN-SPAM Act and Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the EU and UK e-privacy rules, and Israel's Communications Law (section 30A);
- send content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, obscene, hateful, or that violates another's privacy or intellectual-property rights;
- violate the terms, rate limits or technical restrictions of any connected platform, or circumvent security or access controls of any system;
- process data of other people in violation of applicable privacy or data-protection law, or without a lawful basis where one is required;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, sublicense, or use the Service to build a competing product, or use it in any way that could damage, disable or overburden it;
- use the Service in any high-risk context where failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental, financial or legal harm.
The Service enforces technical limits against bulk messaging: it sends only in conversations you switched on, which have to be conversations you have recently been writing in yourself; and a routine sends at most five messages each time it runs, only the messages you set it up to send. These limits may change at any time, and trying to get around them is a breach of these Terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice and without a refund.
7. Your content and licence to us
You retain ownership of the messages, data and other content you provide or that flows through your Connected Services ("Your Content"). You grant MeMaMu LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, analyse, transmit and display Your Content solely to operate, secure, support and improve the Service for you. We do not use Your Content to train general-purpose AI models, and we do not sell it. You represent that you have all rights and consents needed to provide Your Content and to have it processed as described, including any consents or notices required from the other participants in your conversations (for example under data-protection, wiretapping, message-recording or bot-disclosure laws where you or they live). When we process other people's personal data on your behalf, our Data Processing Addendum applies and forms part of these Terms; how we handle your own information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
By using the Service you give us your explicit permission to send your messages and the content of your connected services to our third-party AI providers, as described in the Privacy Policy, to draft replies and do what you ask. Those providers process it on our behalf and don't train their models on it. You can withdraw this permission at any time by disconnecting a channel or deleting your account.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, models, prompts, designs, trademarks (including "ALTRmode" and the ALTRmode logo) and documentation, is owned by MeMaMu LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation.
8A. The beta is confidential
While the Service is in private or closed beta, it is an unreleased product in development, and you agree to keep it confidential. "Confidential Information" means everything about the Service that we have not made public ourselves: its features, screens, designs, how it works, its prompts and AI behaviour, its performance, bugs and outages, pricing, plans and roadmap, invites, and anything we tell you about it, in the app, by email or in a call.
You will not, without our prior written permission (email is enough): (a) publish, post or share screenshots, screen recordings, videos, demos or descriptions of the Service, on social media, in reviews, blogs, forums, the press or otherwise; (b) show it to, or discuss it with, anyone outside your own organization other than your professional advisers who are bound to keep it confidential; (c) pass on your invite or access; or (d) copy, reverse-engineer or benchmark the Service to build or improve a competing product. You will protect Confidential Information with at least reasonable care and tell us promptly at legal@altrmode.com if you learn it has leaked. People in your organization who use the Service through your account accept these Terms too; you are responsible for them keeping it confidential.
This section does not cover information that is or becomes public through no fault of yours, that you already lawfully knew or receive lawfully from someone else without a duty of confidence, or that you develop independently. You may disclose Confidential Information where a law, court or regulator requires it, after telling us where the law allows so we can seek protection. Your Content (Section 7), including your own messages and the replies you send, is yours and is not Confidential Information. Nothing in these Terms limits a right you have by law that cannot be waived, including to report possible violations of law to a government authority, and, under the US Defend Trade Secrets Act, you will not be held liable for disclosing a trade secret in confidence to a government official or a lawyer solely to report or investigate a suspected violation of law, or in a filing made under seal.
Your obligations under this section continue until we launch the Service publicly, and for two years after you stop using it for anything that is still not public then. A breach may cause us harm that money cannot fully make good, so we may ask a court for an injunction (Section 16) in addition to any other remedy, and we may end your access (Section 10). This section applies to accounts created from October 26, 2026 when they are created, and to earlier accounts from November 9, 2026.
9. Plans, trials, billing and taxes
Private beta. The Service is currently in a private beta: accounts are by invitation, there is nothing to buy, and features and limits may change. Invites are personal to the person invited, may be withdrawn, and may not be sold. Team and enterprise accounts are provided under the seats, price and limits agreed with us, in an offer accepted online (once accepted, it is the order under these Terms, and whoever accepts it confirms they may bind the organization) or a signed order form, and are paid by invoice (through Stripe) by the due date shown on it; unpaid invoices may pause the account's team limits. An organization's owner and admins may invite and remove its members, decide each member's part of the team's usage and buy extra usage for the team; a removed member keeps their own account and data. They may also decide which integrations members may connect and limit what GENTs may do; members agree to work within those limits. An admin who shares a connection with the team confirms they may let the team's members use it and is responsible for the access it gives; members' GENTs use it as each member instructs, and only the team's admins can stop sharing it.
Some features require a paid subscription. Prices, limits and features are shown at purchase and in the app and may change on renewal with notice; the channels and integrations available may change at any time as Section 3B describes, without changing the price. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Free trials require a valid payment method and convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then; we will remind you before the first charge. You can cancel a paid plan at any time in the app or by writing to support@altrmode.com; it then ends at the close of the period already paid, and renews no more. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland you have 14 days from buying a plan to withdraw from it; by asking us to start the Service at once you agree to pay for what you used before withdrawing. You are responsible for applicable taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Usage above plan limits may be paused or billed as described in the plan.
10. Termination and data deletion
You may disconnect any channel or delete your account at any time from the app (see the Privacy Policy); disconnecting revokes our access tokens and deletes the messages and learned style we kept for that channel. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access at any time for breach, legal risk, security concerns, non-payment, a demand from a third-party platform, or discontinuation of the Service, with notice where practicable. We may likewise disconnect any of your connected accounts at any time (Section 3B). On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including 3B, 4, 4A, 5, 7, 8, 8A, 11–17) survive.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless MeMaMu LLC, its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) messages, actions or content sent or performed from your accounts through the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms or of any third-party platform's terms; (c) your violation of any law or of any third party's rights, including privacy and intellectual-property rights; (d) any dispute between you and a recipient of your messages; (e) any claim, demand or action by a platform you connected (including Google, Microsoft or Slack) relating to your account or your use of the Service with it; or (f) any complaint or claim about messages sent from your accounts, including spam or unsolicited-message claims.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUT WILL BE CORRECT, THAT MESSAGES WILL BE DELIVERED, THAT YOUR CONNECTED SERVICES WILL NOT BE SUSPENDED OR BANNED, THAT ANY CHANNEL OR INTEGRATION WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MeMaMu LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, DATA OR RELATIONSHIPS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR ANY MESSAGE OR ACTION SENT OR PERFORMED THROUGH IT, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR THE SUSPENSION, BAN OR LOSS OF ANY THIRD-PARTY ACCOUNT OR PHONE NUMBER, THE LOSS OF CHATS, CONTACTS OR HISTORY HELD BY A THIRD PARTY, OR THE REMOVAL OR UNAVAILABILITY OF ANY CHANNEL OR INTEGRATION. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). THESE LIMITS APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, SUCH AS LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, FOR FRAUD, OR FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILFUL MISCONDUCT WHERE THE LAW SO PROVIDES.
14. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, except where a change is required by law or addresses a security risk. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 16, the state and federal courts located in Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to arbitration, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in its courts; Section 16 does not apply to you.
16. Dispute resolution, arbitration and class-action waiver
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@altrmode.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 60 days. Any dispute not so resolved shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer or Commercial Arbitration Rules, as applicable. The arbitrator may award the same remedies a court could, on an individual basis. You and MeMaMu LLC each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective or representative action. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, or seek injunctive relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property or a breach of Section 8A. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@altrmode.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
17. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms, are the entire agreement between you and MeMaMu LLC regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect. Agreements you accept in the app (such as the terms for a limited-test connection that you accept before linking it, and turning the Disclosure off under Section 4A) form part of these Terms. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Notices to you may be given by email or in the app. You agree to receive these Terms, notices and other communications electronically, and that they satisfy any requirement that they be in writing. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including third-party platform outages, policy changes, enforcement actions or blocking.
17A. Accessibility
We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use the Service. We design and test it against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, as our target: it is meant to work with a keyboard, screen readers and your device's accessibility settings (such as reduce motion), and you can make text bigger in Settings → Preferences → Appearance and help → Text size. We work toward that target continuously and do not claim that every part of the Service meets it today.
Some parts are outside our control: the messages, files and pictures others send you, and the pages, sign-in screens and apps of the platforms and tools you connect, which follow their own providers' accessibility. If something in the Service is hard or impossible for you to use, email support@altrmode.com (subject “Accessibility”) and tell us what you tried and where. We will reply within 5 business days, help you reach what you need another way in the meantime (for example by email, or these Terms and our Privacy Policy in another format), and fix the barrier where we reasonably can. Asking costs nothing and never affects your account. How we handle what you tell us is in the Privacy Policy, section 1 (“Accessibility requests”).
