Your messages, answered.
Your day, handled around them.
Answering is where ALTRmode starts. Around the replies are the tools to run your day from your messages: work done for you, one place to ask, your calendar and to-dos, and quiet when you need it.
replies
Replies in your voice, in every app.
Each thread learns how you write to that person, and each one has its own MODE: Review or Automatic.
The reply you'd send
Or none, when you wouldn't answer, or a reaction when that's what you'd do. Several messages in a row get one reply.
Email that reads like yours
Replies go in the same thread, from the address it used, with the earlier mail quoted and your signature at the end.
Typos fixed before they go
Slips of your fingers in what you type are fixed (“tomorow” becomes “tomorrow”). Your words, slang and emoji stay as they are.
Write first
Start a new email or message from a mailbox or chat app, a new task in a project tool, or a new ticket in a help desk.
Tag people
Type @ in a group, channel or project and pick someone: they're tagged the app's own way, and drafts can tag people too.
Send later
Pick when a reply goes. It waits in the thread's Later list, and you can change or send it any time before.
gents
AI agents that do what people ask.
When a message asks for something (a ticket's status, a refund, a meeting, a bug fix), GENTs do it in your own tools, and the result comes back as your reply.
The GENT Lead runs the job
It works out what's really wanted and hands each part to the GENTs that fit. You never have to say which one.
Watch it, steer it
The work shows right in the thread. Type to steer it as it goes, or stop it.
Changes wait for your OK
Looking things up happens on its own; a refund, a record or a pull request waits for you unless you allow it.
ctrl
Ask it anything, or have it do things.
CTRL is where you say what you want in plain words: look something up, check what's waiting, change your threads, hand work to your GENTs or set up a routine. Changes wait for you to confirm.
- “What's waiting for me?”
- “Set Dan to Review”
- “Refund order #1042 in Shopify, it arrived broken”
- “What's the weather here tomorrow?”
- “Tell Dad I'll be late”
- “Every weekday at 8:00, tell me what's waiting”
Questions about the world
The weather, news, prices, opening hours: answered with live web search, with links to where it came from.
From your threads
“Get me the guest list I usually send Jessy”: it reads that thread, writes it the way you do, and can send it once you confirm.
Routines
Something it does on a schedule, in your time zone, with the answer as a notification. Routines never send messages or change your threads.
tune
Teach it once.
TUNE is where you tell it how you do things. Teach it from any message too: the graduation cap under the reply box suggests what to remember from it.
Playbook
How you handle situations, in your own words (“when a package never arrived, I check the order in Shopify…”), and which GENT does it, where.
Voice
How you want replies written (“no exclamation marks”), for every thread or just one. A rule here beats what it learned.
Life
What's going on in your life, so it can answer “are you coming Friday?” instead of asking you. Plans go after 30 days; keep the ones that stay true.
your day
One place for what needs you.
Activity
Drafts to check, questions for you and GENTs waiting for your OK, in one Inbox. What was answered for you stays there until you've seen it.
Your day
A short summary at the top of Activity, a space at a time, each thread on its own line: tap a name to open it.
Only what needs you
Filter your threads to Unread or Waiting, and search them all, protected ones included.
calendar and to-dos
Your plans, kept by telling it.
All your calendars in one list
The next 90 days from every calendar you link. Entries you marked private show only as busy.
Change it by telling it
“Dentist Thursday at 4”, or a photo of a game schedule. Nothing changes until you approve the card that shows the change.
To-dos from what people ask
“Bring the charger” lands on your to-do list with a reminder, or in Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do or Todoist if you use them.
spaces and focus
Quiet one part of your life for a while.
Spaces
Sort threads into Work and Personal, or spaces of your own. Put whole channels in a space, or move one thread.
Focus
Put one space in front of you for a few hours. The others wait quietly and still answer as you set them; warnings about scams still come through.
Mute and pause
Mute one thread, a whole channel or everything for an hour, a week or until you unmute. Or switch it all off for a holiday.
notifications
Act right from the notification.
Buttons on the notification
Send a draft, answer its question, or allow a GENT's step, without opening the app.
Gone once it's handled
Deal with it anywhere (here, on another device, or in the app itself) and the notification goes away by itself.
Phone app
For iPhone, iPad and Android, and in your browser on any computer. Your settings and choices follow you between them.
in step with your apps
Read here, read there.
Two-way read
Open a thread here and it's read in the app; read it in the app and it clears here too.
Done means archived
An email you're done with leaves your inbox in Gmail, Outlook or your mailbox. Other emails stay.
Replies you send elsewhere count
Answer in the app itself and the waiting draft is dropped, so nobody gets two answers, and it learns from what you sent.
Start with one thread. Add the rest when you're ready.
Free for the whole beta. Every thread starts on Review.
